What a lovely chance to share thoughts of Janet. I first met Janet at a party held by half brother Bernard and sister in law Rose several years ago. My dad (who I never knew) was married previously and had five daughters and a son. When his wife died he married my mum and sadly died when mum found out she was pregnant with me. Therefore I have sisters and a brother, same dad different mum. I never really knew my half sisters and brother but got to know Audrey and Bernard a little. Ruby, Janet's mum was one of my sisters. When Janet was introduced to me she was completely overwhelmed and immediately was thrilled that she had met more family. She considered me family straight away and we began a lovely friendship for many years. We would visit her with Rob and Charlotte and they visited us and had such a great relationship. We might have been aunty and niece but really more like cousins. I loved her so much. We shared love for animals and gardening and many other things. I cannot believe she has gone and I will not see her again. She was so special to me. Robin and I will continue to love and care for Rob and Charlotte. They mean so much to us.
